Department Store Freebee's

I LOVE free!

First off I bring you the Tesco Freebee - Dove damage therapy intensive repair express treatment conditioner

A nice size little sample 50ml in fact! This little bottle boasts that it will give you all the benefits of a 20 minute hair treatment but you use it like a conditioner. Such a tall order and I had massive high hopes for this products but it didn’t quite hit the mark. It is a good product and is somewhat more intensive than a conditioner but nowhere near as nourishing as my treatments that I have to leave on for a prolonged amount of time so I give it a 3 out of 5

It retails at around £3.30 a bottle

Then I have my department store sample - Sisley Lip & eye complex

 Eye+Lip Contour Complex 15ml

A tiny sample from the department store but with a hefty price tag of £94 per 15ml bottle I can understand why! I am however in love with this cream; I am currently now saving for it for my collection as it really does help to hide the signs of ageing. And if I had the money to spend on this product I most defiantly would! ONE DAY lol. 5 out of 5!

Another department store sample - is Clinique Youth Surge SPF 15

Now I am in no means due to use anti-aging products by my personal motto is it’s never too early to start! So I have and again this is another product I would recommend. This time it’s at a slightly more affordable price tag of between £28-£39 for a pot but it would last me a while! This made my skin feel great and I noticed a difference my makeup appeared smoother and generally I felt better about myself and my skin, I was noticeable softer and looked moisturised without feeling greasy. 5 out of 5!

My final freebee was from a random magazine - Maybelline - The smoother skin retexturing primer.

I love primers and feel they are a must for any cosmetic box, they allow makeup to look smoother and last longer! However this primer is not one I will be adding to my collection and am might glad I got this small sample before I went and spent my money on it. It’s a clear jelly like substance and when applied leaves the skin looking dewy but feeling greasy. I had to wash my hands twice to remove the feeling. and again when applying my foundation I found there was no benefit to the application at all in fact it made it harder. And at a price point of £10 there are far better products on the market. It boasts that it gives a matt effect but I felt it did the opposite and I had to apply oodles of powder over my foundation to stop it looking wet! I give it a 1 out of 5

Love
