OPI Avojuice Lotions

Whilst working at a wedding fair on Sunday there happened to be a beauty salon stand next to mine, I’m a sucker for all thing beauty and was drawn into their large (expensive) selection of OPI products.

Although I was totally tempted to spend obscene amount of money of some stunning nail polishes I was quick to withdraw Interest when I saw the price they had on them! OUCH to say the least!

Well they did have one little bargain I couldn’t resist 0 OPI AvoJuice Lotions - on offer at trial sizes for £10 not to shabby a price tag so I thought what the hell!

So I got one of each "smell" they had on offer and ended up with

Mango

Jasmine

Ginger Lily

Cran & Berry

Hibiscus Blossom

Coconut Melon

All are completely scrummy, smell completely divine! And Ginger lily is my favourite. And they are great handcreams- I was intending to give 3 away as a Xmas present but I have decided for the greater good they are staying with me!

Department Store Freebee's

I LOVE free!

First off I bring you the Tesco Freebee - Dove damage therapy intensive repair express treatment conditioner

A nice size little sample 50ml in fact! This little bottle boasts that it will give you all the benefits of a 20 minute hair treatment but you use it like a conditioner. Such a tall order and I had massive high hopes for this products but it didn’t quite hit the mark. It is a good product and is somewhat more intensive than a conditioner but nowhere near as nourishing as my treatments that I have to leave on for a prolonged amount of time so I give it a 3 out of 5

It retails at around £3.30 a bottle

Then I have my department store sample - Sisley Lip & eye complex

 Eye+Lip Contour Complex 15ml

A tiny sample from the department store but with a hefty price tag of £94 per 15ml bottle I can understand why! I am however in love with this cream; I am currently now saving for it for my collection as it really does help to hide the signs of ageing. And if I had the money to spend on this product I most defiantly would! ONE DAY lol. 5 out of 5!

Another department store sample - is Clinique Youth Surge SPF 15

Now I am in no means due to use anti-aging products by my personal motto is it’s never too early to start! So I have and again this is another product I would recommend. This time it’s at a slightly more affordable price tag of between £28-£39 for a pot but it would last me a while! This made my skin feel great and I noticed a difference my makeup appeared smoother and generally I felt better about myself and my skin, I was noticeable softer and looked moisturised without feeling greasy. 5 out of 5!

My final freebee was from a random magazine - Maybelline - The smoother skin retexturing primer.

I love primers and feel they are a must for any cosmetic box, they allow makeup to look smoother and last longer! However this primer is not one I will be adding to my collection and am might glad I got this small sample before I went and spent my money on it. It’s a clear jelly like substance and when applied leaves the skin looking dewy but feeling greasy. I had to wash my hands twice to remove the feeling. and again when applying my foundation I found there was no benefit to the application at all in fact it made it harder. And at a price point of £10 there are far better products on the market. It boasts that it gives a matt effect but I felt it did the opposite and I had to apply oodles of powder over my foundation to stop it looking wet! I give it a 1 out of 5

Get the Look - Rio Black

The reason why I am doing this post is

1. Because I love this dress.

2. I got new nail polishes I couldn’t wait to play with.

And 3. Because collection 2000 have an amazing palette out to buy at the moment!

Right so I will start off with my nails this is the bit I would get done before I even started to do my make up so I will do it in order of me getting ready for a night out with my girl .

I have used a selection of nail polishes -

1. As always I started with a clear base coat.

2. I put 2 coats of Rimmel polish in Black

3. Used in a colour selection from Orly's Nail art selection to paint the strips across the nail - I chose silver, purple, blue and hot pink :O)

Next the Make-up.

This is a Palette available to purchase in any shop that stocks Rimmel Products- it’s a great little accessory to any make-up box and would fit in with a large number of themes.

Some of the colours apply better than others, and you will find that when applying not only will you need to put on a few layers but that also you may find flakes of the colour on your cheeks after applying ( easily removed with a big blusher brush)

The colour selection available is Yellow, Purple, Emerald Green, Pink, Bright Blue, Lime Green, Mid Green, and Dark Blue & Black

Its a bargin as well at under £5 you just cant say no! - this is something we would deffinatly use to creat the looks for our next range photo shoot!

Right well now you have gorgeous nails and make up to die for its time to dress up and accessorise!

The dress i have chosen is of course Rio Black - which has zig zags in Multi colours = AMAZING

i have searched the internet high and low for accessories i would use and buy to complete my look!

The dress Rio £50 by contagious clubwear can be found at - http://www.contagiousclubwear.com/p-791-rio-black-dress.aspx

The coat is tantrum in black also from contagious clubwear £50 - http://www.contagiousclubwear.com/p-284-tantrum-black-coat.aspx

The Envelope bag is available from ASOS and a tiny £15 - http://www.asos.com/ASOS/ASOS-Fliplock-Envelope-Clutch/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=1758933&cid=8730&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=200&sort=-1&clr=Fuschia

The Peep toe platforms branded River Island but i found them on ASOS for £60 - http://www.asos.com/River-Island/River-Island-Colour-Block-Platform-Slingback-Heels/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=1845969&SearchQuery=multi%20coloured&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=-1&sort=-1&clr=Multi

Film Review - Hangover Part 2

Sat down with my husband last night on date night to watch the hangover part 2! i remember the first on it was hilarious, and this one didn’t disappoint either.

It defiantly entertained my Thursday night, it was very funny although there was one character that almost made me gets up and turn of the film and that would be Zach Galifianakis! Unfortunately he skipped right past funny and into to uncontrollably annoying, i find the actor a bit of a pain in my behind anyway so when he hit off the charts in annoying was exaggerated in the hangover 2 i almost wanted to kill him.

But bearing that in mind i wouldnt watch it again, but is was good as a one watch wonder :O)

Whats Your Routine?

What’s your Routine before you apply your make up on a night out! or when you arrive home after a great night?

Are you guilty of coming home getting undress and flying into bed with your face still painted? i know i am... it happens to us all especially when were tired and/or drunk.

You have heard it all before why it is so important to do these 3 steps, the beauty industry drums it into us .... we should stick to it no matter what our skin type.

Oily Skin

If you are a sufferer of oily skin you NEED to do these 3 steps as leaving make-up and the traces of the day on your face can lead to skin breakouts! and no one likes a spot.

Dry Skin

Same applies you just get a different result not C,T & M can cause your skin to dry out further and give you an early onset of wrinkles.

Sticking to a good routine with great products will improve your skins condition and help reduce breakouts.

I’m currently using a miss match of products something I’m not normally keen on doing.

So in my routine I currently use...

Virgin Vie - Now known as Vie at Home

Their Control Compex Purifying Skin Tonic for Balanced Skin & Bright Eyes gental Make-up remover

Soap & Glory - Face Soap & Clarity & Scrub your nose in it.

Virgin Vie Clear Thoughts Soothing Night Cream & Clinique Moisture Surge.

My Current eye is set on getting a full collection of clinique products as im in love with the moisture surge.

Do you have any recomendations? im always up for trying new products ! expecially when it comes to my skin. i have been moisturising since i was 16, and get the od comment that i look 4 years younger than i actually am.... that brightons my day :O)

Dontforget once your all glammed up and ready for a night out on the town, slip into one of our new bodycon dresses

Glossy Box October Edition

I woke up this morning feel horrid. That feeling when you know it’s a beginning of a cold! My alarm went off.... i hit snooze! It went off again.... i hit snooze.....

I felt that this endless battle to drag myself out of bed would be a long and tedious process... UNTILL the doorbell went off.... i did for a split secont contemplat not getting up but realised it could be something good at my door and I wasn’t wrong!.There my postman was stood on my door step holing a box full of treats and all for me!

I don’t treat myself often usually bills com in the way of little indulgences but not when it comes to this little box. This is my one something I won’t give up! And rightly so, If you didn’t see my last blog on it then you’re missing out.

This little box truly makes me feel like a kid at Christmas when you are waiting desperately to open your present to find out what wonders your mum and dad have brought you this year, this I currently feel is far superior to that as it doesn’t come but once a year but once a month and all wrapped in Pink & Black my 2 most favourite colour ( if you didn't know).

I treat mine with care and slowly open the box this time to reveal some AMAZING goodies which for me personally have completely TOPPED the last box!

And more for the fact there are 6 products in this box you heard me 6! Tempting, pampering and gorgeous little products! I spent my entire morning testing all 6 products and I loved it.

I will start at the beginning with....

Dermalogica we got 3 of these brands products in this box, and I want disappointed. I love this brand it have a fantastic reputation and never fails to deliver!.And this time was no different!.

All the Dermalogica products belonged to their age smart range. - First & foremost was the Multivitamin Thermafoliant

Amazing I love it and will be purchasing the full sized version of it! - It’s a skin polish! and a great one the products isn’t namsy pamsy and you can actually feel it working which most exfoliates I currently own do not and should not even be classed as one! But that’s a whole new blog!

Then they gave us the multivitamin powder recovery masque - again amazing and I love it, these products bring skin back to life.

3rd on my list is Leighton Denny Expert Nails - I got Hanky Panky which is a vibrant orange! Perfect for October. It still makes you reminds about summer but ties in perfectly. Great coverage, quick drying and easy application = 5*****

4th is STILA - this is my fist run in with this brand , I have seen it for sale but never gone in to purchase it and now I’m wondering why? The eye liner is I Moray (and olive green with glitter) I love the colour and the coverage and this is now an invaluable part of my makeup box.

5th was 3 perfume samples by Robert Piguet all very unique smells and I like them all!

And finally our little something extra was the Dermalogica Age Smart Renewal Lip Complex WITH Beauty Bag!

This little lip balm restores lip tissue, goes on great isn’t sticky and feels amazing on! Again something I will always have in my makeup box from now on!

I am beyond excited to see what November has to offer .... And I know this can only get better! This is my best spent money for a little treat for me.

So why not make yourself feel special and give it a try I promise you that you WILL NOT be disappointed.

Hop on over to www.glossybox.co.uk and check it out
